Marsh Power Tools is Detroit's leading distributor of portable power tools, woodworking machinery, and accessories. Founded in 1932 by its namesake Richard Marsh as a magneto repair business on Grand River Ave. in Detroit, the company spent its first 40 years primarily as a service facility. In 1973, Ralph Pedersen, formerly a Stanley Power Tool factory representative, purchased the business and changed the focus to power tool sales. under his leadership, the company grew rapidly into a bustling state-of-the-art wholesale/retail sales and service entity. After Ralph's early passing in July 1985, at the age of 53, brothers Ron and Chris Pedersen along with brother in law Brady Kalem took command. Woodworking machinery was added to the product line in 1987 and service remained and still is as important as it was in 1932

 Located in Livonia, Michigan for the last 25 years, Marsh Power Tools has one of the largest showrooms in the Metro Detroit area with many machines and tools on display. Sales personnel are readily available and eager to answer questions whether in person or over the phone. Service is also an important part of our offering with 3 full time inside factory trained repair technicians and one outside service man.
We have now expanded to a second location located on Grand River Avenue just two miles west of I-96 in Brighton, Michigan. Run by partner Mark Streicher, this large facility boasts 6,000 square feet filled with all your woodworking needs.
